About Magnis
Starts of the professional juggling group date back to February 2008. Then, the Magnis was established by two present members influenced by then leading Czech groups and world-famous jugglers.
Since its establishing, the group has been specializing to effect flame joggling based on demanding techniques and most precise synchronization of individual performers. All is grounded by striking musical support.
During its four-year existence, Magnis has grown to its present state of 23 active jugglers. Up now, the group is specialised to flame shows developed by absorbed and tuned method. However the group repertoire is supplemented by a number of other types of shows and performances.
Summary of Group Activities
Activities of the Magnis group can be classified to several categories. One of the activities is „custom-made“ performance, i.e. performances on events of various nature, from historic celebrations to music clubs and charity events. Magnis has realised large number of such performance and they form major activity of the group.
In addition, there are events organized by the group itself and joggling festivals, where multiply groups and individual jugglers meet. During these four-years of its existence, the Magnis got to general consciousness of juggling scene and now it is respected and valued group.
Repertoire of Group
Although Magnis was at the outset specialized only to flame shows, now its repertoire is much broader.
The group offers several flame shows, such as show with historic theme, or more swift and striking arrangements.
Also the lightshows form traditional performances of the group. It is dynamic and action combination of electronic music and dancing light effects. The UV show functions on similar principle, and it is supplemented with interesting characteristics of black light. Very popular shows are topical workshops, into which spectators are engaged and may learn part of the joggling art.
History Crocks
The group has already realised several really interesting performances and projects, both in the Czech Republic, and abroad.
E.g. it was headliner of Olympic band, it made performance for international meeting of managers, it organized composition evening for aid of flooded Heřmanice village. Inter alia, Magnis took part in competition Československo má talent /Talented Czechoslovakia/ and performed on charity evening broadcast by Prima TV.
In 2010, one of the Magnis members became vice-champion of the Czech Republic in poi joggling (chains). 2011 was even the more successful year. In poi category, the Magnis members gained third and first place and in the staff (bar) category even second and first place. Thus since then the group may show off the republic champions among its members.
Probably the most interesting event recently was participation of our jugglers at international festivals in distant Oman, Morocco, and Bahrain.
